DIY Ikea Dresser

So I have finished prettying up the Ikea Aneboda dresser in my bedroom. I replaced the handles with some vintagey (not sure if that's a word) Bunnings handles which cost $10.65 each and covered the clear plastic bits, which are actually polypropylene (I found this out by checking the Ikea specs) with some patterned paper from Kikki-K. They cost around $5.50 a sheet and I ended up using two sheets in total. Here is the lovely el cheapo looking Before....see how you can check out all my clothes...he he

BEFORE
Swiftly moving onto the new and improved After dresser. I think it needs a bit of scuffing up along the sides to give it more of a worn and dated look. And I sooo need to repaint that mirror frame. A job for the weekend me thinks, along with cleaning that smudgy mirror!

AFTER
I purchased these ice-cream bowls at Domayne and Woolworths because they were cheap, pink and plastic, which means they won't rust, so they're perfect for storing my jewellery.

Now if only I could hang the mirror on the wall...

  3. For the mirror, Command brand has these awesome velcro strips for hanging pictures and frames that don't damage the wall in any way. Pretty awesome!
